Bionatur de Mexico
On behalf of Bionatur Mexico Greenhouse Assist has been approached in order to optimize internal greenhouse logistics and the processing of harvested produce
A further inventory has been made concerning the possibilities of improving the existing processes in the field of crop maintenance, havesting automation, logistics and processing. The relatively low labour cost in Mexico has been taken into account.
The solution was supposed to bring improvement in the reduction of cropdiseases, maintenace of fruitquality, speed of processing and presentation of the endproduct. As result Bionatur has invested in a number of crop maintenance trolleys, crop protection equipment and harvesting carts including induction guided AGV's.
For the processing of clustertomatoes 2 weighing lines were purchased with in total 18 weighing positions, taking into account different harvesting standards than those in The Netherlands. Infeed and output of boxes is fully automated. Boxes come out at exact weight, fully palletized, labelled and strapped - ready for storage and/or transportation.
Additionally beeftomatoes are being sorted by a colour/weightgrader with automatic infeed. A rotationdumper takes care of a smooth and gentle infeed of the beeftomatoes into the grader. Although palletizing is done manually due to the numerous categories, strapping and/or rotowrapping is done automatically by using the same end of line equipment as for the clustertomatoes.
The result is an efficient, well organized harvesting and processing process, which allows Bionatur to have realtime insight and overview. To measure is to know !
